Update 2/2008: Black and white print. Image of a 9 piece brass, string and percussion band posed as if playing on a stage. Group of seven men, one woman and one young boy. Painted on the bass drum: "Sagebrush Syncopators" with image of mountains and plains painted through center. Metal railing in foreground below stage. Men and boy are dressed in tuxedos. Woman is wearing a knee length long sleeve black dress.
Written on original negative under drum: "Myers Photos, Rawlins, Wyo."
Written on the back in blue ink: "A Rawlins Orchestra about 1922. Amy Whitson at Piano. Carl Lahruman, Lyle Smith (barber at Stookies barbershop) Dewey Turner, Earl Farlwell, Fredic Lara, Walt Hootman, Bill Stookey, small boy i Arron Kramish[.] Given by Mrs. Walton France - Rawlins, Wy."
Paper yellowed, curled and wrinkled. Badly soiled, front and back. Bent diagonally at center bottom-emulsion cracked; emulsion cracked in lower right. Emulsion surface missing in upper right. Slight corner damage.Collection
