Description

An 11.5" (high) x 6.5" (outstretched arms width) Cheyenne doll with beaded face and long black horsehair hair, ca.1910. Doll's hair is 6.5" in length, somewhat matted. Doll is soft stuffed and has tan suede arms and legs. She is wearing an elaborately fringed and beaded soft leather dress composed of beaded geometric designs at upper shawl bodice level with a beaded self tie belt and decorative beaded bands at center and lower edges. Decorative beads at these levels are primarily turquoise, green and white. Doll wears a three strand beaded purple necklace. Leather overskirts are placed over soft leather leggings. The skirts are tied at side left and right. Beaded footwear on feet.
