Black & white print on black mat. Image of the interior of a bar. On photo left is a circular wood frame & top with glass & wood on two sides & open on the other two sides. It is an entry into an ornate wood bar counter with wood pillars on back at ends of a mirror. a spittoon sits on the floor. On photo right, two men are standing on either side of a glass case filled with what looks like cigar boxes. Men are dressed in dark suits, the one in front of the case has on a long jacket & holds a cigar in his right hand which rests on the case. Behind them on the wall is a tall glass front case with liquor bottles on four shelves. Another spittoon sits on a patterned, small tile floor. Upper wall is papered & has a picture hanging.
Typed on white adhesive tag on bottom: "Original Senate Saloon Front Street" On back white adhesive tag in black ink: "Senate Saloon J. H. Clause". Written in pencil on yellow post it note: "James H. Clause Senate Saloon after the remodeling finished in 1906. Building stood at 311 W. Front St Rawlins, WY. Clause est. this business in 1886". In black ink: "Property of M. V. Cook" In black ink: "Rans" inside a circle and "Rawlins, Wyoming" around the outside.Collection
