Black & white print with black mat and one scanned copy. Image of seven men on & around a wagon loaded with large blocks of ice. Men on wagon are holding ice tongs. Two horse hitch; third horse in harness standing between men at right. Barn-like building in background. Snow & ice on ground in foreground.
Typed on white adhesive tag at bottom: "Ice House & Livery Stable Corner of 4th & Buffalo"
Written in pencil on yellow post it note on back: "Ice house built by Foote & Harrer in Jan. 1882. Sold to Palmer & Heath later in decade. On Sept. 10, 1898, Zangs Brewery of Denver bought the business. J. H. Clause owned the lot & used the ice house from mid 90's into the first decade of the 20th Century"
In black ink: "Property of M. V. Cook". In black circle: "Ran" around outside of circle" Rawlins, Wyoming".
Good condition. Accretion, scratched, liquid spots, rubbed, mat corners broken off, soiled, scuffed & edges worn. Size 10 x 12"
Scanned print. Written on back in black ink: "South West Corner 4th & Buffalo Sts. James Clause's Ice House ca.1900 Now Community First Bank".
