Photo about 1880 of Charles Blydenburgh, early day Rawlins Attorney. Update 2/2008: Sepia print. Studio portrait full length. Mounted on tan matboard with gold edges. Image of a man dressed in long double breasted dark coat, dark pants, white shirt with stand up collar and dark tie. He is wearing boots and is standing with his right foot crossed in front of his left. He is leaning on the back of a chair with his right arm and holding his hat in his right hand. Upholstered chair with tassels on arms and head protector. Painted backdrop and floral rug. Printed on the back in black ink: "Baker and Johnston, Photographers." Written on the back in blue ink: "Loaned by Grace Friend Williams". "3". Written in black ink on back: "1-bv" "Charles Blydenburg about 1880. He was an early day attorney in Rawlins and served on the school board for many years. His home was on the block where the Rawlins Junior High School now is[.]" "Copied-mounted". Written on the back in pencil: "Page 52, pix 3 3 5/8 x 2 53%" "5253". Mounted on acidic matboard. Cut down on bottom from original size. Corners square and no gold on edge. Indentations on emulsion surface from writing through center-appears to have been beneath whatever had been written on with very hard pressure. Blue ink stain at center bottom; soiled front and back. Emulsion scuffed and scratched. Update July 2011: Black & white copy print. Written on back in black ink: "C. E. Blydenburgh about 1880. He ... early day attorney in Rawlins ... on the school board for ..... His home was on the .... the Rawlins Junior High School (writing cut off back).
