Description

Smaller Bowie knife; blade is approximately 7". Blade is steel and has false-edged clip point. There is an engraving near the base of the blade on one side (see Inscriptions tab at left). Handle is made of alternative bands of Gabon ebony wood (dark bands) and Osage Orange (yellow bands). The guard and pommel are brass. The pommel has a decorative pin inlaid in it: an outline of a sage grouse, colored in green and white, with a light blue background and "Cowboy 3 Shot" around the edge. The blade has a prepared cutting edge but is not fully sharpened. Sheath is plain dark brown leather, deep enough to cover the entire blade and about half of the handle. Pass-through belt loop is attached to back of sheath with brass rivet or screw post. Back of sheath is stamped "Wm. [William] Spicer".
