Update 2009: Black and white print. Image of a group of 6 men, two horses and a large dead buffalo. Very grainy. Two men on right holding rifles, man at far left also has rifle an is holding horses reins. Men casually dressed, all but one are wearing hats.
Written on back in pencil: "Boney left Toronto, Canada in 1864-he was in his early 20's for Kansas. Joined wagon train as bull whacker. met Bill Cody-rancher-1865. Wagon boss through Kansas. Butterfield Overland Stage Company which was building an overland route from Atchison, Kan to Denver 9Oregon trail)-one herd of buffalo was 60 miles long and 10 wide. Bought ranch in Kansas an lived there til 1868. Met Tom LeBeau Soleil (Tom Sun) in 1872-trapped and mined. 1875 he located the Soda Lakes. Bought range at Sand Creek same year and scouted. Died Oct. 20, 1933 age 88.
