Update 2008: 5 x7 black and white reprint glossy of 1948.042.0025. A black and white 8 x01 studio shot of Calamity Jane wearing a fancy long dress with large bow on back. The top bodice is black down the front with lighter color on the sides and sleeves. Cuffs are dark with white ruffled edge. She has a white scarf tied in front around her neck. Her dark hair is center parted and is pulled back. She is standing with her right lower arm and hand resting on an ornately rug covered object and a light background.
Back of photo in blue ink: Calamity jane whose real name was Martha Jane Canary. She was a familiar figure in Rawlins in the early days. Picture is only known picture of her in women's clothes. She presented this picture to the late A.R. McMicken many years ago.
