Photo of Rawlins at the 400 block of Front Street. The building was built in the summer of 1872 by James France for his mercantile business. East 1/3 of the block is site of H. C. Hall and Company. First business building north of tracts in 1869. West 2/3 of block built about 1873. East 1/3 about 1879.
Update - 2009: Black & white print. Image of a two-story stone building with large windows & doors along street level and sign "J.W. Hugus & Co" above main portion of structure. Smaller sign under roof at right section of building "Bank". Approx 12 men strung out along sidewalk in front of structure; dirt street in foreground. Row of arched windows on second story front.
