Update 2009: Black and white print, mounted on tan matboard with grey inner and outer border and wide patterned surface between. Image of a group of 16 men seated and standing on a stage with the front end of a locomotive engine in front of 2 American flags with crossing signal posts on either side. Banner above: "Safety First". To right is piano, to left is chair, percussion instruments and music stand. Engine has "87" on front; "summit Lodge No 87" on smoke stack and "6-87" on either side of smoke stack. Men are all dressed in suits; most are wearing ribbons on their lapels.
Mounted on acidic matboard. Liquid damage to matboard along top and bottom, mat soiled front and back. Corner and edge damage on mat. pencil mark on lower left mat and image. Piece missing from upper left edge of image. Tears in upper edge of image; slight damage to other edges. Emulsion surface soiled and scuffed.Collection
