This was taken in the Masonic Temple before the balcony was taken out after a fire in 1922. Update 2008: Black and white print mounted on dark tan matboard which has been cut down on bottom edge, of the Rozell Dancing Club taken inside a large gym type building with a balcony above the main floor where sections F-J show. Decorations of floral vine drapes across the front facade of the balcony and cover down two round support beams that extend from floor to ceiling, covered cross beams that have light bulbs running the length and width of them. The men and women in photo are primarily segmented into four tier rows with one small cluster of men and women on the photo right by staircase. Someone wrote in bluish-black ink on the photo. Row 1 is numbered 1-7, row 2 13-27, row 3 28-44, and row 4 45-69. Group cluster of people to right is #8-12, with one man unnumbered. Embossed parallel ling surrounds print. Condition is fair. Matboard is torn at right corners, abraded at corner left and irregular cut lower edge. Soiling and scratching on top and both sides of mat. A large stain (watermark?) on back right matboard with wrinkling and staining on left side back mat. Photo has fine black and white specks in surface an s tain on left tip surface. Written on back in white pencil: The Rozell Dancing Club. Given by Kleber Hadsell. There are numbers 1-69 written in bluish black ink of two rows right to left width of back of matboard to match numbers of people on front, but there are no names written. (see 1948.037.0325 for names).
