Photo of the Old Courthouse, 1913. Top row, L to R: Harry Hansen, Rick Magor, Ada Riford, Charlie Boice. Middle row: Les Magor, ?, Laura Heath, Jim Hetzler. Bottom row: Bob Day, Fanny Murry, Dayton Jones, Mildred McIntosh, Scotty McKay, S. Parks, Rubie Rivera. Update 2009: Black and white print attached to black mat in which the top two corners are cut off at an angle. The lower mat edge has been irregularly cut off and has a jagged edge. Print shows a group of men and women sitting on the wide front steps of the original Carbon County Courthouse. The women are dressed in long skirts and blouses or long dresses. Men are dressed in suits, shirts, and ties of various types. The men are all wearing hats of various styles. The background shows two dark large wooden doors at the top of the stairs and block cut sandstone building front of either sides of the door. This same stone is used to make a wall on both sides of the steps from ground level to top level. The numbers 2, 4 and 5 in pencil are written on certain people. Unknown what this is reference to. Written on front of print in black ink: "Old Courthouse 1913" Written on top of mat in black ink: "Old Courthouse 1913" Written on back of mat surface in pencil: June Hetzler. Written on back of mat in blue green ink: Given to Museum by Kleber Hadsell. Typed on long white label on back: Top Row left to right: Hanse, Harry; Magor, Rick; Riford, Ada; Boyce[Boice] Charlie. Middle row: Magor, Less; Heath, Laura; Hetzler, Jim. Bottom row: Day, Bob; Murray [Murry ] Fannie; Jones, Dayton; McIntosh, Mildred; McKay, {MacKay] W.A. (Scotty); Parks, S.' Rivera[sic] Rivera, Rubie. Written on back in black ink: Return to Mrs. Con Resan 711 West Cedar. Good condition. Mat has heavy wear on edge with small nicks and eroding of black surface showing interior card. Print has many scratches in emulsion and several white developing flaws. Some small dimpling as well as dark fingerprint smudges are seen with magnifier.
