This is the way we branded in 1880's
Update March 2011: Sepia print on tan mat. Image of cowboys with roped cattle that are laying on the ground. There are 13 mounted cowboys & eight standing on the ground. The mounted cowboys have their ropes around the cattle front & back feet. The men on the ground are holding branding irons & are working with the cattle. Written above cowboys in blue ink: "This is the way we branded mavericks in 1886 taken at Freeze Out Mountain July 1886 by F. M. Baker." Written above heads of men: "J. S. Monroe, J. Kunkendall, John Cole, R. Rivera"
Written on back in blue ink: "Taken July 1886 at 7 C Ranch, Now Leo, Rubie Rivera 12-7-27" Names in "people" written on back.
Fair condition. Scrape across front, stained, paper missing, faded, accretion. Size 6 7/8 x 10"Collection
