Framed photo of the Red Cross Garment Workers and Surgical Dressing group in front of the Rawlins Elks Club, Sept. 27, 1918. Update 2010: Original, is 1 1/2 inch dark wood frame. Update 1/2010: Black and white print. Snapshot. Image of a large group of women in white, red cross nursing smocks and hats posed on the steps of a large stone building. Some of the women are on the two-story columned porch of the building. Many of the women are holding American and Red Cross Flags. A large Red Cross is held at top of steps and two banners-one on each side-are held by women on the porch. Banner at left: "Garment + W[orkers]". Banner at right : " [Surgi]cal and Dressings." Embossed in lower right corner: "H. J. Rogner. Photo." This is the Elks Lodge (BPOE) building in Rawlins, WY. Note: Picture is no longer in a frame.
