Update February 2011: Black & white copy print. Image in oval shape of a head & shoulders pose of a man. He is wearing a dark three piece suit, bow tie & white shirt. He has dark curly hair & a full mustache & mutton chops but no chin hair.
Written on back in black ink: "Donated by Margaret Friend Jacobocci. Photo taken about 1880" "John C. Friend 1847-1922 Served in the 11th Ohio Cavalry. He came to Wyoming to help put down Indian Uprisings. He came to Rawlins in 1869 & was prominent in Wyoming affairs. He was editor of the Carbon County Journal & served in the second, third & fifth Territorial Legislature"
