Photo of the interior of the Ferguson Mercantile, Rawlins, in 1908. Update - 2009: Black & white print (& two copy prints). Snapshot. Mounted on grey matboard. Image of the interior of a general store. Right wall lined with tall shelves filled with canned goods & other merchandise. Row of counters & display cases in front of shelves. Left wall lined with tall shelves of hard goods - pitchers, cups, plates, etc. Row of glass display cases in front of shelves. Row of displays with merchandise down center isle. Six men in store - two behind counter at right. Lights suspended from ceiling; windows in back wall. Written on back: [blue ink] "1-dq" "Ferguson Mercantile Co." "Left to right" Unidentified, Paul Paulson, Emil Estensen standing in front of unidentified man, Soren Frandsen & Chris Olsen" "Copied by State" [black ink] "Mounted" "6"[red pencil] "page 35. pix 2 2 1/2 x 5" [blue pencil] "2". Post it note removed from back 5/28/09: "pg 36 pic 5" Mounted on acidic matboard. Surface missing and badly scuffed at top & bottom edges on back. Cut down from original size to image - edges rough & uneven. Accretion on emulsion surface between two men at left. Other soiled spots & scuffing present. Mat slightly warped. Copy print 1.
