Huffman was post photographer at Fort Keogh and he set up a studio at Miles City, MT. "He photographed the Indian, the animal hunter, the manhunter, wagon tracks, buffalo skinning, Calamity Jane, the Roundup, freighters," etc. Inside front cover shows drawn map of part of Dakota Territory, Wyoming Territory, and most of Montana Territory. Map of Miles City townsite on inside back cover.
Physical Description: Book has dust jacket with black background. There are small photographs of cowboys, woman, Native American, and dead buffalo at top and a western scene of cattle on a dirt main street in a early day town. Main title is in red print with authors names in white. Back cover is white with text. Inside cover shows drawn map of part of Dakota Territory, Wyoming Territory, and most of Montana Territory.
