Description

Dixon, the Barber. Update - 2009: Black & white print. Studio portrait. Mounted on tan matboard. Oval head & shoulders profile. Portrait of a young man dressed in a dark suitcoat, patterned tie & white shirt with high starched collar. He is clean shaven & has short, dark hair. Painted backdrop behind. Engraved in gold in upper left corner of mat "Jukes Studio, Laramie, WYO." Embossed at center bottom of mat: Logo of an arm holding a flag above a ribbon banner with "CONSTANTER" printed on it. Written on back in blue ink: "Dixon - the barber". Mounted on acidic matboard. Mat back soiled; yellowed overall. Liquid stain in lower left of mat front; front soiled. Corner damage. Ink mark on emulsion above subjects head; emulsion scratched & soiled.
