Update - 2009: Black & white oval studio portrait affixed to an ivory colored textured heavy paper which has an irregular scalloped border. This ivory paper is then glued? loosely to a large gray mat. Image is of a seated man wearing a three-piece dark suit, white shirt with a dark bow tie. His hair & mustache are dark. A woman wearing a dark, high neck, long-sleeved blouse & skirt is standing with her right arm resting on his left shoulder. The woman has a very large poofed bouffant updo which is swept up & off her face. A cloudy backdrop is seen behind them.
Written? in pencil at lower right corner of ivory mat: Jukes/ 1909
Written on back in black ink: Mr. & Mrs. Emler
Good condition with wear on gray mat edges & corners with abrasions to mat surface at these areas. Small brown stain spot at top right corner of gray mat. Ivory paper has minimal smudges at top & lower edge. Print has small amount of scuffing at lower edge & a small scratch at lower side left. Mat back surface has worn corners & few tiny dots of brown stains at top.Collection
