Homer Booth, Sheriff of Fremont County, Wyoming with a long wig, chaps and large hat. Update 1/2008: Black and white print. Studio portrait. Tall length. Portrait of a man dressed in fringed light colored pants and shirt, patterned short tie, long dark wig in ringlets, hat, boots and gunbelt. He has a mustache and his right hand is resting on the gun in the holster. Painted backdrop and curtain behind. Written on back: [pencil] "Homer Booth Sheriff" [blue ink] "Of Fremont County" [pencil} "Ask Lee Rankin {blue ink] "Killed in car accident in 1949[.] "Good friend of the Indians[.]" "Copied by Stater[.]" [Black ink] "Mounted" [blue ink} "Loaned by Oscar Deal Lander[.]" Badly soiled. Badly bent, creased and cracked. Scuffed and scratched. Update March 2011: One black & white copy print. Written on back in black: "Homer Booth, sheriff of Fremont County. Killed in a car accident in 1949. Good friend of the Indians" Stamped in black: "Copy provided by the Wyoming State Archives & Historical Department" Good condition. Wrinkled, emulsion impacted.
