Update 2008: Sepia print mounted on tan stereocard. Studio portrait, full length. Image of a man dressed in jeans(?) suit coat and large wide brimmed hat. He has a long barrelled rifle butt out cradled in his left arm. He has long hair, short beard and mustache. Painted backdrop behind.
Written in pencil on lower mat margin: "Jim Baker."
Written in black ink on emulsion surface in lower right." 19".
Photographer mounted this print on an unused stereocard-printed on the back is the caption for a series of "views on line of Union Pacific R.R. and Branches."
Written on the back in pencil: "Baggs". "3".
White adhesive label on back: Baggs".
Written on the back in black ink: "Mounted" "1-5x7".
Mounted on acidic matboard. Mat surface missing in long strip at right side on back. Mat yellowed. Soiled on front. Image surface scuffed, scratched and dented.
One (1) 4 7/8 x 3 1/2 black and white copy print cropped to image on all but right side. Mat visible on right side. Written on back in black ink: {Originally identified as William Johnston, but crossed out} "Jim Baker-No. 17". "#14".
Update March 2011: One copy print (5 x 7") attached to white slick matting. Image reversed.
