Oversized black and white photograph. The partially clothed body of a man is lying on a stretcher, an imprint of the U.S. Army Signal Corps is present in the lower right corner. On the back of the photograph are two stamps that read "RESTICTED" and "FOR OFFICIAL USE". There is also text that reads as follows: EUCOM 47 01382 27 MAY Credit - U. S. ARMY SIGNAL CORPS. PHOTOG - T/4 CHAMBERS 69th DR. WALDEMAR WOLTER, GERMAN, IS SHOWN AFTER HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD BY THE MEDICAL OFFICER AT THE LANDSBERG PRISON. HE WAS HANGED AT 1220 AND DIED AT 1231. *DC* LANDSBERG, GERMANY. Additional research - Dr. Waldemar Wolter was executed for his role as the SS – Sturmbannführer at Mauthausen.
