Taken about 1900. This house was one of the first fine homes built on the north side of the tracks. Blake home on Cedar Street. Probably built in the 1880's and this picture was taken in 1900. This home was the first that had trees around it. 3rd and Cedar St., Rawlins. Update - 2009: Sepia print. Snapshot. Mounted on light grey matboard. Image of a large two-story house with large bay window with balcony above at front. Small porch, stairs & upper balcony at left. Perpendicular rooflines - front facing. Lawn in foreground; back side to side. Two dormers on back roofline; one at left side of front - door to balcony. Two tall brick chimneys at back; shorter vent/chimney on right side of roof. Trees & bushes in front of house; large tree/bush in foreground at left. Caption pasted to front on lower mat edge: "Taken about 1900. Some dents & scratches in emulsion surface. Update February 2011: One black & white copy print. Typed on back on adhesive tags: "Blake home on Cedar street. Probably built in the 1880's & this picture was taken in 1900. This home was one of the first fine homes built on the north side of the railroad tracks. It was also the first home that had trees around it. Stamped in black: "Copy Provided by the Wyoming State Archives & Historical Department. Good condition. Curled, creased. Size 5 x 7"
