Unknown young girl on back says Purple Dress.
Update 2008: Black and white print. Photo of young lady in a long dress with large white lace collar. Dress appears to have a "V" shaped apron front half way down to skirt. Shirt is a little bit lighter color than rest of dress. Dress is a dark color. Little girl is standing by a table with her left arm resting on the table. Her hair has a large curl on top and the rest appears to hang loose down her back.
Card is mounted on light colored matboard. About an inch of photo has been cut off at the top. Photo is badly soiled with a large faded strip down left side. Printed on bottom of matboard "Baldwin and Ames Central Music Hall, Chicago" Torn area in center bottom. Back heavily soiled top center. Rest soiled. Written in blue ink "Purple Dress" on back. Printed on back in sepia "Baldwin and Ames" Enclosed in a box shape "Portraits" "Central Music Hall" "Cor. State and Randolph Sts, Chicago" Floral trellis border around printing.Collection
