Buffalo Bill Cody and Wild West Show.
Update 2008: Black and white matte print, 6 x 9 3/4 of Buffalo Bill Cody sitting astride a light colored horse with his rifle lying across his saddle behind cantle side to side. He is wearing light colored pants, dark chaps, dark shirt with light colored kerchief tied at his neck. He has a greying goatee and longish hair with medium colored wide brimmed hat on head. His left hand hold the reins and rests on the saddle horn and his right arm is bent with his hand propped on his waist. He is in the front of his large cast of cowboys on horseback who are in a semi circle behind him. Behind the cowboys on horseback are other cast members of indians in costumes and cowboys standing about, some holding onto horses. There are some horses in various stages of being saddled. To the back right are several cannons. Behind the cast are six tepees with a long screen of privacy canvas surrounding then. In the background is a circular retaining wall with men standing on the top edge gazing at the scene before them. There are two men standing on an edifice of some type above and beyond the wall. A tree filled area is in the far horizon.
Photo is in good condition with slight soiling on all edges and surface, as well as a small crimp on top left corner. There are several developing anomalies including small black spots and blurs. Small crack in emulsion surface lower left corner.Collection
