Description

Miami University at Oxford, Ohio, 1907. Update - 2009: A sepia toned postcard photograph of a large ornate multistoried brick building with a tower on each side of the main three story in center. Entryway has a multi arch portico in front. Lettering on lower edge: Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Copyright 1907 by F. R. Snyder. Printed on back at center in black POST CARD Side left: "You may write your message here". Side right: "This side for address only" Card is addressed to Mr. Julius Mayer, Rawlins, Wyo in black ink. Side left message written in black ink: Oct. 13, 1909. Note is written by Revelle McMicken & states "Wish I was in Rawlins so I could get you a bunch of ducks", etc. Return address: No. 15, W. Walnut St, Oxford, Ohio. A green one cent Franklin stamp is placed at right top corner. Fair condition. Excessive wear & soiling on top & back surface. Left side has an extreme vertical bend at side left with resulting crease in side left. Corners are worn & bent. Wrinkles & stains on side right back surface & a small pinkish blotch of unknown substance.
