Description

Black and white 8.5 x 11.5 scanned copy of reproduction of old photo. Reproduction done by Meyers Photography 4-9-1973. 1901 photo of Rawlins railroad depot . Built in 1868 and was model for current depot. Update - 2009: Three black & white scanned copies of Rawlins Depot. Building has ornate roof with a dormer in end, two spires above door, uneven roofs protruding from main roof & a steep axillary roof above entry, cupola shaped with a decorative top. A man stands at corner of depot wearing a dark suit & hat. A wood wheel wagon is parked at end of the depot & train cars are behind the building There is a fence at either end of depot along a dirt street. A water tower is seen in the distance. Written on back in pencil: "Rawlins UPRR Depot 1901 4th and Front Sts. looking west toward the RR cut" Condition: Good. Copy 2: Written on back: "Rawlins UP Depot 1901 4th & Front looking toward the cut. Condition: Good. Size 5 x 7 Copy 3: Written on back: "Rawlins UP Depot 1901 4th & Front Sts. looking toward the cut. size 5 x 7 Condition: Good. Copy 4: Scanned copy. Written on bottom of print, "Passenger Dept. Rawlins, WY" Written on back in pencil. "Meyers Photo Reproduction, April 9, 1973. Built 1868. Condition: Good. Copy is a large reproduction from a post card according to the donor. Measures 8 1/2" x 11"
