Update 2008: Black and white print. Snapshot. Image of the crash site of a bi-plane (two-winged aircraft) on a snow-covered hillside. Painted on the side of the plane is the number "63". Seven men are in and around plane. Bare trees in foreground.

Mounted in with 1949.068.0466 and 1949.068. 0467 on a piece of orange cardboard. Badly soiled. Torn 3/4" on lower edge at left through cardboard. Emulsion cracked horizontally through center. Cracked vertically on upper left. Lower right corner bent-emulsion cracked. Emulsion bent and cracked at tear.
Overall size 10 1/4 x 5 5/8".
Written on the back of the cardboard in black ink: "1 cut 85 screen double column x 8 inches."
Written on back of the cardboard in pencil: "5900/2".
