Description

Photo of Doc Culleton's father standing over the big bear he killed. Update 2008: Black and white print attached to dark gray matboard, 8 x 10, of an older man standing in dormant treed area with felled dead trees lying on ground behind him with an octagon barrelled rifle propped, barrel up, rifle butt down on ground, held by his right hand clasped around barrel top. He is gazing down at the ground at a huge black bear lying on the ground at his feet, eyes open, tongue hanging out of his mouth. Man is dressed in medium light pants, shirt, medium dark leather jacket and fabric cap. His left arm is propped on his left hip, waist area. He is wearing a cartridge belt with ammo in the loops left side, and appears to have a knife in a scabbard attached to belt under his jacket on his right side. he has a gray mustache and small goatee. Condition is good. Mat is cut irregularly on right and left side with dark discoloration stain running along outer edges on all edges. Photo has dimples on print surface on bears lower half. Cracks in emulsion top left as well as slight scratches on entire photo surface. Raised pucker of print on top right. Edges of print are slightly worn where lifting from original surface. Slight stains on side left . Stains are on mat surface back 1/4" to 1 1/2" width around edges. A small white sticker on back of mat: typed: Doc Culleton's father.
