Construction through Bagott Canyon for the Saratoga and Encampment Railroad, 1908.
Update 2/2010: Black and white print. Snapshot. Image from a slight elevation of a railroad bridge across a river in the bottom of a canyon. Work train is parked on the bridge with the flat cars and boxcars on the far side. Workmen can be seen on an elevated platform attached to the near side of the bridge. Solitary man is standing on the near hillside looking down at the bridge. Sides of the canyon are gently sloping hills covered with rock outcroppings, sagebrush and scrub.
Written on back in blue ink: "S. & C. being built through Bagott[sic] {Baggott} Canyon". In pencil: "(30)".
Stamped on back in black ink: "Carbon County Museum Box 52. Rawlins, Wyoming, 82301."
Paper yellowed. Back soiled. Corner damage, emulsion cracked. Emulsion cracked throughout. Image surface soiled. Faded at center.Collection
