Inside view of Smelter at the Ferris Haggarty Mine.
Update - 2009: Black & white print showing the interior of a very large room in which there are several different types of large machines, supplies, and individual machine type tool devices. Background and side left shows different work bench type areas with mounted grinders & other equipment. Two men at center are working on a round cylindrical pipe which extends from a wheeled unit which is mounted on an object that has small cogged wheels & a pulley wheel at front. The pulley rises from a low level & extends to ceiling mounted wheel units. Long pipes with flat drilled metal bases area lying on the dirt floor in foreground. The far work area has a double planked wood floor. Ceiling has open beam work. Other pipes of various sized are lying strewn about on image side right. There are five white blotches on print from original light source.

Good condition with soiling and discoloration on front & back edges. Corners are worn & bent. Few minor indentions & crack in emulsion surface at various locations.
