Update - 2009: Black & white print of three men wearing suspended coveralls, dark shirts, & hats. they are standing in front of a very wide rock pile. (The rocks extend to side left to right of image.) with wide expanse of arid land behind them. A few houses are seen at side right in distance. A narrow two rail bed is seen in foreground with a square 4 wheeled ore cart at rail end. A workman is standing to rear of this car with his arms resting on cart edge. Barren rocky ground is seen at image lower edge. A white 64. is at lower right corner from negative.

Good condition. Print has extreme soiling on all edges front & back surfaces. Small tears at top & side edges. Corners are worn with creases; the top left corner is missing. Print is slightly off center. There are two dark developing anomalies from original at top right & side right lower edge. There are several curved indentions in emulsion.
There are 2 copies both lighter than original, both good condition. 3 1/2 x 4 3/4"
Copy 1 has written in black ink: At site of smelter at Encampment. Town seen below Riverside Man at ore car is George Herring. Tiny indention at top edge. Tiny crimp side left lower corner.
Copy 2 has no writing. Small vertical scrape on side right.Collection
