Assay office on the smelter at the Ferris Haggarty Mine.
Update - 2009: Black & white print of the interior of an office showing three men dressed in three_piece suits. Man on side left is seated at a two-sided desk, writing. A candlestick telephone is attached to side right of desk. A wall radiator is behind him. The second man is seated in a wooden rocking chair at mid center of image with his arms resting on arms of chair & his legs crossed. The third man is sitting in a wooden chair at an ornate table writing in a ledger on image side right. A high drafting table with chair/stool is in foreground right. The patterned carpet is extremely worn. The walls have a variety of images displayed; photos, maps, calendar, pictures, etc. A door is ajar in background & one can see into an anteroom & into another office. A light fixture hangs from ceiling at mid ceiling & a decorative 3-tulip shaped covers four bulbs.

Fair condition with excessive wear & soiling on all edges. bottom left corner is missing. Small tear with missing piece on lower edge. There is a large scrape line in emulsion at center side left. There are several white dots over top left quadrant of image from negative process. Wrinkling seen across top half of print at various locations. Back surface has small orange stain at lower center back & dark smudges along left side & other areas.
There is one copy: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4" Good condition. Lighter in color than original. Few tiny dots in emulsion at top edge.Collection
