A special Home Seeker's Excursion Union Pacific Round Trip Ticket, # 72, to Ft. Steele, dated Sept. 30, 1896 on front with a L punched on these dates. Ticket is 17 1/4" long and 2 3/4" wide, gray colored on top with black printing. Top part of ticket reads Union Pacific System FORM H.E.P.C. 4 Ft. Steele, WY and Return via D__?___(not readable). Back of ticket is orange colored with imprints of Union Pacific logo with railroad sign and elk on left side and buffalo on right side. The middle of logo reads the Overland Route World's Pictorial Line. There are 4 blue stamped validations reading Omaha Union Sept. 15, 1896 Depot Company on the back of the ticket.Collection
