Workmen at the Ferris Haggarty Mine. Foreman on left. and one copy.
Update - 2009: Black & white print showing the interior of a large, rough finished wooden structure with a dirt floor. There are four men standing behind & to the side of a large bucket suspended by a chain pulley & a wide horizontal thin pipe through connecting curved metal hooks which are part of a U-shaped metal support of the bucket which is attached to the pulley chain. The pulley is attached to a large beamed support structure. There is a dark boiler looking object with a long narrow pour spout extending to the bucket. Other equipment is seen in foreground & on side left. A white area is seen at side left center. It's origin is unclear. Very large dark bellows are seen mounted on to left side wall by wood bracket supports.
Written on back in blue ink: Workmen at the mine, foreman on left.
Good condition. There is soiling on all sides of print & back surface. Print has many wrinkles at top & side right & left edges with resulting cracks in emulsion. Corners are worn & bent. Lower left corner has white surface exposed from it's bend. Black developing blur is at top right edge. There are several tiny white dots from developing process at various locations on print surface.
There is 1 copy. 3 1/2 x 4 3/4". Good condition. Lighted area at side left appears as a blur. The writing of #97 on back has impacted emulsion top surface. Few black smudges at back side right.Collection
