Family photo of Mr. and Mrs. A.M. House and daughter, Lily. Taken Nov., 1905. Mr. House died Dec. 25, 1924 and Mrs. House died, Dec. 23, 1938. Update 2009: Black and white studio portrait mounted on black mat board. Family of 3 . Mother, father and little girl. Father dressed in dark suit with only the top jacket button buttoned. White shirt and tie showing at neck with cuffs. He is wearing a lapel pin that might possible be BPOE fraternity pin on his left lapel. He has both elbows resting on the arms of the chair. He has a full mustache. Woman dressed in white frilly bouse with leg o mutton sleeves. She is wearing a necklace watch chain combination on her left breast. She is wearing wire rim glasses and her long hair is coiled on top or her head. She is wearing a long back skirt. she has her right hand behind her right hip and her left hand behind her husbands chair. Child is standing in front of mother with her left arm on the right chair arm. She is wearing a white organdy dress with a high neckline, a ruffled yoke and long sleeves. the skirt is knee length. She is wearing white long stockings, white low cut lace up shoes. Written on back in blue ink: "Mr. and Mrs. A. M. House and daughter. Nov. 1905. Mr. & Mrs. House lived many years at the Bull Springs Stage Station North of Rawlins. Mr. House died Dec. 25, 1924. Mrs. House died Dec. 23, 1938. Mr. & Mrs. Houses came to Wyoming in 1900 from Indian Territory. Given to Museum by Mrs. Lillian House Hirsch of Rawlins, Wyo." Written on back in pencil: "A.M. House. Bill House. Lily House." Many childish pencil scribbles. Condition fair. Mounted on acidic matboard. Mat has excessive wear on corners. Pencil scribbles all over back. There is a full length bend vertical through the photo. There are spots of residue at the top of the mat. One 5 1/8 x 3 3/8 copy print. Written on back: "A.M. House. Bill. Lily House.". "#23".
