Description

John Veitch about 8 years old. Update 4/2010: Tintype. Studio portrait. Half-length portrait of a young boy wearing a dark button front jacket with vertical piping down front. Mounted in a peach-colored paper frame with oval opening accepted in red; back is orange. Written on lower front of frame: " John Veitch about 8 or 9 years old." Frame badly soiled front and back; edge and corner damage; creases from binding on top. Emulsion scratched soiled.
