Black and white print. Mounted on tan matboard. Image of a mountain lake with sparsely forested peak in the background. Many of the trees on the hillside are down. A few small trees and bushes and more downed trees can be seen in the foreground.
Written at center bottom on mat in blue ink:"Battle Lake-early 1900s"
Written on back in black ink: "Picture from Battle Mountain Mines" "Copied".
Copy Print: 3 1/2 x 4 7/8. Washed out on sides. Written on back in black ink: "Picture of Battle Mtn. Mines" "Early 1900's".
Original mat appears to have been cut down from original size. Surface missing along bottom edge on back. Slight soiling, slight edge and corner damage. Emulsion surface scratched. Small areas missing throughout.
