One original and copy black and white prints. Image of a wooden shack with smoking pipe "chimney" and tall pulley assembly (oil rig for excavator?) behind it. Two men can be seen in front of shack looking through to the machinery behind. Wagon with cylindrical tank can be seen at left; work "Case" painted on side. Vintage automobile with small child on running board beyond wagon at left. Sagebrush prairie all around. Guide wires attached to top of pulley shaft and anchored into ground.
Stamped on back in black ink: "Frank J. Meyers Photographer Rawlins, Wyoming."
Written on back in pencil: " 1916 Lost Soldier Field."
Original contact print. 8 x 10" Written on back in black. Lost Soldier Field 1916.
Good condition. Dark area on top left corner from developing process. Minor wrinkles & cracks in emulsion. Few dimples. Slight curl to edges at sides.
Print copy: Yellowed along top and bottom edges on back. Wrinkle in paper along lower half. Several cracks in emulsion from bending. Slight corner damage.Collection
