Update - 2009: Black & white print. Studio portrait & one copy. Mounted on dark maroon matboard with gilt edge. Full length portrait of a man standing in front of ornate painted backdrop. He is dressed in dark 3-piece suit; watch chain visible on vest. He is standing with his left hand in his pants pocket and his right hand resting on the back of a floral upholstered chair. A three-legged plant stand, with 5-point stars on legs at man's left with framed photo of another man on top. Rugs on floor & throw on chair. Man has short hair, mustache & chin whiskers.
Printed in gold on lower mat margin: "L. Heyn, Rawlins, Wyo."
Written on back in pencil: "Mr. Jungquist" "Page 32 pix 3 (3 1/16 x 2) - 53%"
written on back in ink: "People - 6" "3".
Written in black ink on white adhesive label pasted to back: "copied mounted:.
Mounted on acidic matboard. Corner & edge damage. Lower right corner of mat back has surface removed. Lower left corner of image lifting off. Image surface scuffed & scratched.
Copy print. Written on back in blue ink: "Mr. William Jungquist"
stamped in black: "Copy provided by the Wyoming State Archives, etc."
Good condition. Emulsion impacted by wavy lines, creased. Size 5 x 6 7/8"
NOTE: William Jungquist owned a wholesale & retail hardware store in Rawlins. Built in 1879, it was located on the corner of 5th & Cedar streets. An ad in the Carbon County Journal said the store was full of hardware from carpet tack to a mowing machine.Collection
