Description

Black and white glossy reprint 3 1/2 x 5, of a buried Union Pacific locomotive x 3949 being dug out of a massive snow field by a group of men in front and to the side of the engine during blizzard of 1949. The group of men are in various poses using shovels while a group of four men are standing to the front right of engine looking at something one of the men is holding. Electrical poles are seen in the distance on far left and right sides of train. Part of a pole shows on left of photo top to bottom of print. this photo is similar to 1960.366.0012. Photo has black line at top edge of print showing from center to outer right edge of photo from negative. There are various black specks and shading from negative. Written on back in black ink: Lois East. Stamped on back in black ink: _.
