Froling Shoes, Rawlins, 1904.
Update 2008: Sepia print. Snapshot. Mounted on black patterned matboard with smooth "frame" around image. Image of the interior of a shoe shop with sewing machine along left wall and workroom in back. To the right of the open workroom door are shelves of shoes; to the left is a closet. Along right wall are shelves with boxes. At right front is a glass topped display case with table top. Three men, two standing and one sitting, at center of room. Seated man has grey beard and is casually dressed and wearing a suit jacket and cap. Standing man at center is wearing a dark striped shirt and long apron. Man standing at right is wearing a light striped shirt, bow tie and apron.
Irregularities in lower image appear to be from cracks in glass negative.
Written on back in pencil: "1904-Froling Shoe Shop in a frame building on 5th St. between Cedar and Front on East side."

Mounted on acidic matboard. Mat warped and badly soiled on back. Nail hole in center top edge. Edge and corner damage . Dents in emulsion in upper left corner, fingerprints to left of dents. Image surface scratched and soiled.Collection
