Update 2008: Black and white print. Snapshot. Mounted on two-toned grey matboard . Image of four men in a cobbler's workshop. Tools, parts, shoe stretchers, and shoe lasts in foreground. Bench with buffing and polishing(?) wheels at center left; boxes and shoes and boots on shelves on left wall. Sewing machines at center back; one man is operating a foot peddle machine at center. Second man is standing with his right elbow on the wheel bench, his left arm on hip. Third young man is standing behind wheel bench. Fourth man at left edge is working on a shoe last. All four are in shirtsleeves, long aprons. Man at center has on a tie.

Mounted on acidic matboard. Cut down from original size at bottom edge, uneven. Lower left corner missing. Mat soiled back and front. Liquid damage on front upper mat. Edge and corner damage. Image surface soiled. Emulsion impacted around edges from adhesive on back. Emulsion cracked in lower left corner, dented on lower left edge.
