A black and white glossy print, 7 7/8 " x 9 7/8", of Joseph Conrath, ca. 1920. A shadow background shows with Mr. Conrath sitting in an ornate wooden chair with a decorative top back edge of a fleur de lis open cut wood design with his right arm propped on wooden chair arm rest, elbow bent and touching his side face with his forefinger. He has dark hair with side left part, dark eyes and is wearing a dark double breasted suit with stiff white collar showing under his jacket lapel. He is holding a small black book in his left hand which is laying on his left upper leg which is crossed over his right leg. His forefinger is placed inside the closed book marking his reading place. Fair condition with an opague line showing top to bottom on left side of print. Tiny black and white dots from developing process. Slight soiling, wear, and wrinkling on all edges with slight tear bottom left. Soiling and residue on backside. Many emulstion irregularities throughout print giving appearance of small flat blisters.Collection
