Description

A black and white glossy print framed inside a dark beige mat frame 11 3/4" x 13 3/4." Print depicts a group of 17 men, wearing suits, some with vests, ties, white shirts, and dark shoes standing in a small semicircle in the front of a replica of a locomotive engine front with the number 87 in the center of the engine front, with 11-87 in rectangular signs at top edge of engine front mounted to the sides of a large headlamp at top of the engine with smaller rectangular signs to each side with the number 87 on photo right at top of this beam light is a large two toned sign with the number 87. The men and train replica are inside a room with a window seen on left and right side with shade cord hanging down in center of windows. Transom windows are seen at the top edges of the room. A hardwood floor is in foreground with a small raised floor seen on the left of the room. In background, an American flag is attached to the wall with two small flags crossed at an angle to the top right of the large flag. The men seem to have a somber look to their expressions. These men are not identified, but they are believed to be members of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers, Summit Lodge, #87 Rawlins, WY. Print is wrinkled at various locations, with fine lines, indentions and other surface irregularities at several locations. Print has a slightly pocked sandblasted look to it with viewed with a magnifying glass. Mat frame has slight stains and residue at various locations with a very noticeable brown stain at bottom left corner. Back of mat frame is soiled with edge wear and bent corners.
