Update - January 2010: Black & white print. Snapshot. Image of a man & young child standing in front of the porch of a frame house. Tree at right; bushes or flowers at left. Man is holding up the hands of the child as the child stands in front of him. Child is wearing short pants, striped socks, white shirt & white sailor cap. Man is dressed in dark pants, white shirt with dark garters at elbows, dark bow tie & light hat.

Stamped on back in green ink in the shape of a tree: "Stevens Studio Hot Springs So Dak. in the Black Hills".
Paper yellowed. Back soiled. Corner damage - upper corners & lower right corner bent & emulsion cracked. Emulsion cracked at tip & center left side; dents & scratches; emulsion irregular. Tear in upper left edge.Collection
