Rawhide Buffalo Sioux Sundance Pole Ornament. Object is covered in red ochre, and measures 14" x 8 1/2" x 1/8" thick. Has rawhide tie attached for hanging. Circa prereservation or early reservation date. (date of object is questionable.) Item was purchased by donor from Mr. Vogel of Boardwalk in Laramie in late 1960's. Appraiser gave item a value of $650. Donor states that item is very rare.
