Description

Alfred Heath's first law office in Saratoga. Update 2009: Black and white print attached to cream colored matboard. Print shows a narrow, long white wooden frame building with high front wall with a man wearing a three pice suit standing in a double door entryway with one door open and the other closed. His hands are in his pockets and his jacket is spread open to his sides. He is wearing a flat crown hat with narrow brim. Building has 2 long windows one on each side of doorway. A wooden raised front entryway is attached to front of building and a long wooden railed side fence is seen along building photo side right, entire building length and a little beyond. Another small building is seen at main structures' rear. A chimney is seen on roof of each of these buildings. Written on lower front mat in pencil: "Mr. Heath's first law office in Saratoga. Written on back of mat in black ink: "Alfred Heath's first law office in Saratoga, Wyoming. Laura Huntington's husband. Laura Huntington's heath Collection. Fair condition. Mat is heavily soiled front and back with unknown tiny stains and residue (fly specks?). Print is extremely faded, soiled and has scuff marks, indentations, minor scratches, raised tiny pucker spots and fingerprints?. Corners of mat are bent and worn. Large crack in mat side left. Slight bend in mat along bottom edge.
