Early building on Front Street about 1894. Lots 16, Block 23. 400 block North Front St, 11/1883.
Update 2009: Black and white print mounted on a tan mat. Image of store with two men on boardwalk in front. Painted in windows: "Watches Jewelry" "Books Stationery". Clocks can be seen through the window. Post by walk with clock on top. Buggy and tricycle also on walk. Open lot to photo left with two young boys, other buildings in background. Business to photo right is bakery .Two people stand on walk in front of bakery. Written on back in blue ink: "Early day buildings on Front Street around 1895". "Photograph taken 1884-1885 not 1895. Lot 16, block 23, 400 block N. Front St. } DK RB". Written in pencil: "Lovey Weith's watches and Jewelry. Wm. J. Smith Bakery." "11/1883 E. H. Smock built building. 2-84 Lovey Weith purchased building to 12-85 for Jewelry store. 10/1887 Hub Saloon. 11-1888 to 3/1889 M.W. Dillon Rented Hub." Written in black " Copied by State Mounted". In pencil at bottom "8 Page 28 pix 3 2 1/4 x 3 1/2". In blue ink: "L.J. Nelson." Condition good. Holes punches in mat top. Liquid stain, scratches, rubbed.
