View of Rawlins, Wyoming about 1900 and one copy. Update - 2009: Sepia print. Snapshot. Mounted on dark green matboard. Image from elevation of a town in the middle of the prairie. Railyard & trains through mid-ground. Smokestacks & smoke in background at right. Fenced prairie trail with wooden bridge in foreground. Person in open space, just left of center. Written on original negative in lower left: "Rawlins, Wyoming. Weyle & Barber, Phot." Written in blue ink on emulsion surface in upper left: "Given to museum by Lou J. Nelson - Rawlins, Wyo". Written on back: [blue pencil: "Mounted" [black ink] "- Copied" [pencil] "about 1900". Mounted on acidic matboard. Cut down from original size - edges rough & uneven; writing on back cut off. Image surface soiled & scuffed.
